Decorate an entire table with bud vases filled with your favorite fall flowers. It is super easy to create and can fit within any budget; here are some suggestions to get started. Pick 5 to 8 different types of flowers/greenery in different shapes and sizes. I recommend picking at least two to three types of focal flowers, a few filler flowers, and greenery.
Fall flowers to create this look:
Burgundy Mini Calla Lilies
Orange Protea Pincushion
Orange Roses
Red Spray Roses
Orange Spray Roses
Peach Hypericum Berries
Israeli Greenery
Bupleurum Greenery
Now you are ready to create an eye-catching tablescape with fall flowers in bud vases for a harmonious tablescape.
Place one flower type at a time and cut the stems at different lengths creating dimension to your design. Continue placing your flowers together and pairing stems together. Make sure you mix different colors in each vase to add contrast.
The bud vases have very small openings, so don’t place too many flowers together. If you are using roses and want to spread the petals more, blow into the center of the rose and gently spread the petals out with your fingers. They will naturally bloom over time, but if you need them to look open immediately, this florist tip will help.
It is important to try to find different levels of contrast in your design. Contrast creates interest, even if you pick a monochromatic color palette.
Place The Bud Vases on the Table
When placing the arrangements on the table, you will want to alternate between high and low bud vases. Also, ensure that you evenly distribute the different types of flowers and colors across the table to feel balanced.
I love to add greenery to the table, such as Italian Ruscus or seeded/silver eucalyptus, and candles for romance. Approach the layout of your candle placement just as you did, alternating the bud vases, adding the perfect ambiance to your event.
